AMPO POYAM VALVES is honored to participate in the construction of one of the world’s largest ongoing LNG export facilities — the Rio Grande LNG Project. Spanning around 1,000 acres at the Port of Brownsville in Texas, USA, the landmark project is currently in full swing of development.
Developed by NextDecade and engineered and constructed by Bechtel, the project marks a pivotal step in the global expansion of liquefied natural gas infrastructure. Upon full completion, the facility will feature eight LNG production trains with a total annual liquefaction capacity of approximately 48 million tonnes (MTPA), securing its position among the world’s top-scale LNG export terminals currently under development.
As a key supplier for this strategic energy initiative, AMPO has secured multiple contract awards to provide roughly 15,000 high-precision engineered valves for the first five operational LNG trains of the project, further consolidating its reputation as a reliable partner for high-standard critical LNG system applications. The Rio Grande LNG Project is advancing steadily in line with the established construction schedule. The majority of valves required for Train 1, Train 2 and Train 3 have been fully delivered. The manufacturing and production of core valves for Train 4 is set to be finished by mid-July 2026, while the batch delivery of valves for Train 5 is scheduled to kick off in the first quarter of 2027.
